About Joondalup Lakers Hockey Club
Our club motto is – “Hockey for all” – We aim to deliver on that promise.
Joondalup Lakers Hockey Club has been an essential and vibrant building block of the greater northern suburbs hockey community and development of Perth. The Club has been a part of the Western Australian Hockey Association (Hockey WA) since its foundation in 1994 from the Northern Districts Hockey Club. The relative youthfulness of the club has seen its creation rise in numbers as its club rooms and playing fields are nestled within the growing northern suburb of Joondalup.
Do you want to make new friends? Do you want to play a new sport? If you said yes to any of these,
Lakers is the place to be! We teach people that have a lot or little of experience to play the game of Hockey!
We go from School Years 5/6 to 11/12 for Juniors competition and have a Hook-in-2-Hockey for kids from Kindergarten to School Year 4. Teams are split up into school age groups and grades within that age group.

Seniors have 3 leagues: Premier League, Provisional League and Metropolitian League.
The Premier League boasts some of the best players in Australia, peaking at the Melville Toyota League. These leagues compete on turf at various times and venues throughout the weekend.
The Provisional League also competes at various turf venues throughout the weekend, catering to a more social player.
The Metropolitan League is a grass competition for players seeking a regular weekly match on Saturdays at either 2:00 or 3:30pm.
